Mandalas
The sixth graders will be creating colored pencil Mandalas. The term Mandala comes from ancient Hindu sanskrit and means circle, center or wholeness. The design has radial balance which is any type of design based on a circle with its design extending from its center.
Students will create a mandala inspired by nature. They must use a minimum of 3 designs or patterns found in nature on their mandala. They will then color their mandala with a color scheme that they choose.
