Pop Art Inpired Ceramic Boxes
Seventh grade is currently working on Pop Art inspired ceramic boxes. What is Pop Art? Pop Art is art that is inspired by popular culture. It is derived from advertisements, household products even comic books. The students have been introduced to Pop and the work of Andy Warhol and they are designing and building a box in the Pop Art style.

They will be able to explain the diiference between a Tint and a Shade.
Create a 16 color monochromatic value scale.
7B Monochromatic painting project
Some of the photos used for monochromatic perspective painting.
7A Monochromatic Project...Skyscapes with Tree silhoette
They will look at photos of trees in silhoette as a reference tool.
Students will practice using paint brushes to create thick to thin lines that
will become the branches of their trees.
Once students feel comfortable with the painting technique they will paint
a silhoette of a tree on their monochromatic skyscape.
